More women are skipping college to make six figures as electricians, car mechanics and truck drivers

You need to check how much a California Journeyman lineman makes. The base is 108,000 depending on which company you work for. However, the work he does is significantly more dangerous so his base pay is about 150,000. Add in the fact he works 6 days a week, and almost all of those days are 10 to 12 hours, and the overtime adds up in a hurry.

But don't let facts hurt your head.

Dude....you're lying. Just stop it.

Twerp, no I'm not. I don't need to. Normal people who understand these things know the truth.

That leaves you out.

Now factor in 1.5-4X overtime pay.

Mike Rowe talks about these stories all the time. 22 and start a porta potty company and by 30 a multimillionaire.
Yep. If you work hard you will do well. He is buying a house and should have it paid off in 9 years.

Nice place too.

I've only ever seen one woman in the trade, and she was a decorator.

Having ambition AND a college education is even better than just having one of those.

As for low odds: 20% of the Top 1% earners do not have college degress even though they make up 65% of the population. That equates to being 8Xs more likely to end up in the top 1% if you go to college. 8 times more likely. Inside straight.
Correlation is not causation. College is great if you want to work for someone else, which is the path the left endorses. But college rarely teaches you the skills you need in order to make money. A few things, yes, like surgeons. Most things, no. College cannot teach you to be motivated, which is the key ingredient in making money.

Getting rich is like losing weight and getting to Heaven. The knowledge of how to do it is readily available to all, yet only a few will do it.

My son used to say "I'm just not organized". I tell him. "Decide right now you are going to be the most organized person in the world. Then do what the most organized person in the world would do."

This works with most everything. If you want to be known for being nice, decide right now to be the nicest person in the world, then do what that person would do.

We are just talking about probabilities. There are always outliers. Mark Zuckerburg isnt the rule he is the exception. The exception is also starting your own plumbing company and making a lot of money. It happens.. just statistically not your best option if you have a choice.

Hmm.... at $80 an hour, to make $15,000 a week, you’d need a week with 180+ hours. Not many of those on the calendar.

He’s lying; so are you. Just stop it.
That’s one job I pulled up in 2 minutes. Starter blue collar job making a quarter of a million a year with OT.

Hmm...what you and your buddy are talking about is $60,000 a month or $700,000+ in a year.

Still want to say a lineman is making almost twice what the President is making?

You guys...you just can’t admit you made a typo. Its bizarre.

PG&E is posting starting jobs at $75/hr.
That means overtime pay.

On your side you’re insisting university diplomas are so worthless taxpayers must pay their bills for them.

A young man who is a friend asked my advice when he got tired of the college propaganda. So I loaned him money for a lineman school.

He made 15,000 last week.

How much does the DNCCCP pay you to post your drivel?

.25 per word?
In 2012, I was taking welding classes with my GI Bill bennies. A recent grad of the program asked my instructor if he knew anybody hiring. He called another former grad welding gas pipeline in eastern KY. Kid said the company was starting people at $75K/year, plus per diem, plus hotel. $100K if they had their own rig (truck and welding equipment). No experience required, just the certifications from the American Welding Society earned in class.

There is no 4-year-college grad who can make that kind of money starting off.

15th post
Again, that doesn’t equal the $15,000 week assertion.

Okay?

Strangely there is no quote from me saying that.
Oh darn, only makes $230,000 a year in a starter blue collar job.

Now pathological liar says Democrats don’t want to have taxpayers paying off student loans. What a buffoon.

Nope. He made 15,000 THAT week. Most weeks he is in the 2500 to 3500 range.

DAMN….that’s a lot of call-outs, double/tripple time.
