Both K-12 & post K-12 education need to be totally rebuilt. Pres. Trump has stated his desire to defund the D.O.E. & return education back to the states where it belongs, the 50 individual states. There is no "one size fits all" path in life. College is your best option statistically, but certainly not the only option. I know of no one who has the resources and grades to get their kid to college opting not to send them though. Skipping college when you can go because you think you will be better off is like trying to pull an inside straight. Possible but low odds.
