More Russian missile attacks over much of Ukraine?

So a 7 second video allegedly of a MiG-29 flying a high altitude is evidence the Ukraine air force still active? When was it filmed?
You do realize both the Russians and Ukrainians fly the MiG-29 ?
Can you see the plane's marking to see which country it belongs to, Russia or Ukraine?
There is an entire information space that you are ignorant of. Yes, it takes more work to get information directly because you have to translate everything. Load the language extensions into your browser, they make it a lot easier.

Everything in the media is first on social, and what you see on Twitter or other socials is posted first on Telegram. Russians don't use Twitter, only Russian propagandists do. From them you will see everything positive about Russia, but you won't be getting the Russian social unfiltered.

You'll only hear the negative side of the Russian experience on English language socials from people who are sympathetic to Ukraine- and you choose not to believe anything they say.

So you don't have to believe me. I'm just telling you what the Russian side is saying. Go to his Telegram page, select "preview in channel", and scroll up his posts, translate them, etc. Judge for yourself if he's real. He's one of the most followed Russian milbloggers. Read them. Rybar, RSOTM, Grey Zone, Sasha Kots, etc. None of them say what you are saying.

You might just as well pretend the war is over, Russia won, and Putin was crowned Czar...

So you were able to see the markings on the plane that indicates which country the jet fighter in the 7 second video belongs?
My eyesight is near perfect but I sure couldn't.

I can clearly make out that it is a MiG-29, the planform is distinctive and I can make out the wing root extensions when I zoom the image.

Russia is not operating MiG-29's in Ukraine. The last flying frames in Russia are used for SWIFTS aerobatic displays. There are still ~20 in Armenia, the rest of Russia's MiG-29's are retired since 2016.

The clip and caption from @milinfolive will be all over Twitter within 24 hours with a bunch of annoying watermarks. It's recent.

But I don't care if you believe it or not. I know not to bother providing you with evidence from credible Russian sources if it contradicts your "unique perspective" lol.

Sunni Man

The funny thing is, the serious Russian milbloggers don't even like people like you who candy-coat everything. They are there, or they have personal contacts that are. They know they're in a tough fight and they know Ukraine is getting a lot of help, and they don't think the MoD is doing enough.

That video wasn't posted to promote Ukraine, it was posted to be a wake-up call to the Russian planners. The link he in his post leads to another post he made previously about the Ukrainian airbase.

Incorrect. ...

"Russia has almost 260 MiG-29's with some of them participating in operations over Ukraine"

"The MiG-29 is respected as one dangerous fighter jet for many clear and obvious reasons: Despite its origins in the final years of the Cold War, Russia's modern MiG-29 multirole fighter aircraft variants are some of the most up-to-date in Russian service today"

The Russians didn't take that little town as claimed, they only took a piece of it and are having a tough time holding on to even that.

Any more rounds of conscription into the military and Putin won't be in charge anymore....

True enough. He's resorting to drafting foreigners from border countries via threats and depopulating mental hospitals; he is afraid of his popularity falling and his 'friends' assassinating him.

The news article you cite is from September 5th of 2022
Things have dramatically changed since then.
The Russian air force has decimated the Ukrainian air force and now totally dominates the sky over Ukraine.

lol Russian planes are being wiped out by cheap drones while they're sitting on the ground. The one that do fly anywhere are crashing due to poor maintenance malfunctions and crappy fuel stocks.

No, your sources are just wrong. The first one doesn't even link to MiG-29's, it links to a story about Su-35's and doesn't even mention MiG-29's.

The second one is bad info. Russia switched over to Su-30's for all their MiG-29 combat units. The 20 MiG-29K's they built for the Kuznetsov were put in storage.

Here is the breakdown of Russian aviation by military district. You won't find any MiG-29's

Which has been accomplished and Russia now controls the sky over Ukraine.
True, up to a point. Are we to believe that Russia refuses to use air power while the skies over Ukraine belong solely to them? When they were pushed back last autumn, wouldn't they have used air power to stop the Ukrainians? I think the air defense systems in Ukraine make it impossible for Russian aircraft to be used without wasting planes and pilots. If the current offensive goes into the spring and the Russians do not advance in any significant way, Putin may well become willing to begin negotiations. The question is, will DC/NATO be willing to talk?

“It’s been a difficult night. A massive rocket attack across the country. … Attacks on critical infrastructure and residential buildings,” Zelensky said in a Telegram post.
“The enemy fired 81 missiles in an attempt to intimidate Ukrainians again, returning to their miserable tactics. The occupiers can only terrorize civilians,” he added.
The Ukrainian president said attacks targeted several regions throughout Ukraine, including Odesa, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia — which houses Europe’s largest nuclear power plant — and the capital city of Kyiv. Some were injured and killed in the strikes, Zelensky said.

Ukraine’s chief commander of the armed forces, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, said Moscow shot 81 missiles and eight Shahed drones into Ukraine on Thursday, according to the Associated Press.
The onslaught of strikes comes as Ukraine defends embattled Bakhmut. Reuters reports that Russia’s defense ministry said it carried out the new strikes in retaliation for an alleged raid last week on a village in the Bryansk region of Russia last week.
“Russia launched a massive missile and drone attack on Ukraine overnight, leading to loss of lives and damaging civilian infrastructure. No military objective, just Russian barbarism,” said Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba

Zelen$ky to USA: Russia attacked, send more money!

Once again, the Ukrainians hardly have any jet fighters left.
Which is why conman Zelensky has been begging bozo Biden for F-16's.

The main role of jet fighters is to shoot down enemy jet fighters.
Since Ukraine is basically out of planes. Russia has decided to ground most of their jet fighters and just use missiles to hit targets all over the country
Although, recently Russia has been using a small number of jet planes to carry large hypersonic precision missiles and launch them at high value Ukrainian targets.

Maybe Putin found a way to rid himself and Russia of "deplorables" - think about it.
More then 60% of the Ukraine recruited SS Divisions and e.g. also the Wehrmacht Punishment Battalions - consisted of so called deplorables.

That's kinda strange since MiG-29 is in the title of the article. ...
Your first link:

"Russia has almost 260 MiG-29's with some of them participating in operations over Ukraine"

takes you to a piece about Su-35's.

I don't care what "hotcars.com" or Business Insider thinks. There are no Russian MiG-29 combat units remaining. The 14th and 19th Aviation Regiments in Millerovo and Kursk switched to Su-30SM in 2015 and 2016. Their MiG-29 SMT's were split between the 200th Training Air Base, to be used as an aggressor squadron, and some went to Armenia. And there are 6 doing airshows.

Airplanes on the books do not mean combat capable airplanes. especially when we are talking about Russia.

But hey- who knows? I would have said the same thing about T-62 tanks. The way things are going, maybe we will be seeing some Russian MiG-29's soon...

There are a lot of bull.. articles/headlines in Western media regarding Russia and the war in Ukraine. But there are no Russian Air-force Mig-29's actively used towards Ukraine.
Some have been send to "replenish" or upscale the Belarus Air-force. Some are AFAIK even stationed or had been stationed on Crimea - but never been put into action.

The Mig-29 can be termed as a very ineffective fighter aircraft since the late 90's - most of the hype was due to "reports" from individual Luftwaffe pilots who admired it's flight characteristics and NATO's insistence to keep the JG 73 operating it, for evaluation purposes. It's battlefield scope is mediocre, compared to a F-16 or any other contemporary NATO aircraft.
Russia is aware of this and has set it's bet onto expanding the Sukhoi family since 2000.

Supplying Ukraine with existing Mig-29 from other sources - is based onto the same NATO brainchild agenda, as supplying them with e.g. M-113's, Leopard 1's and 2A-4's.

There is no Ukraine, its all gone, Joe Biden did that, along with Mitch, Lindsey, Mitt, and Marco.... Ukraine isn't even using the weapons Biden steals from us and gives to them, they are selling at least 50% of them on black markets!
