The older generation, of which I suppose I am slowly becoming a part of myself; was duped by the Police State. The Security Industrial Complex in Canada is far worse than Americas M.I.C as it destroys its own citizens, their potential and our economic prospects.

A newer generation understands better but it's too late now, which is why some jurisdictions casually pass budgets that give the police a 23% increase knowing that the property tax increase will send older home owners into the streets.

We have a looming problem here as well. So many seniors have little or no savings for retirement. They depend on our 'safety nets' for survival.

I'd love to but I see the signs.

Look, I cannot lie, we are in sharp decline and I know the reasons why. I went for a brisk walk today in very cold temperature and I couldn't believe that in the downtown there are even MORE businesses shuttered. We are talking about prime locations, surrounded by many government funded institutions such as a college, a major government building. So there is money there, whether borrowed from students or overpaid bureaucrats.

To see the growing number of businesses shuttered, some that were only new a few months ago, spells doom.

There is another U.S franchise I won't mention who opened up just three months ago, I may have seen one or two people in the place the dozen times I have walked by since. They will close up shop too soon.

Police States are very expensive and they have collapsed in every nation they have been employed, the number of citizens destroyed along the way who COULD have made a major difference are too many to number.

I sense it even in the faces of our local politicians now. The decades of theft and funding the S.I.C have finally caught up.

Do NOT copy us, do NOT help these lying agencies. For every time you do, you become more like us and you will share the same fate in time.

Save some of us before this place collapses under the weight of its own abuses.
