More Economic GOOD NEWS: Employers add most jobs in 3 years in March

That's good news?

Your standards are low.

err, yes it is good news, considering we were LOSING 600-800 thousand a month about a year ago... Any increase would be good news.

Is it great news? No. Does it mean we're out of the woods? No. Is it ironclad evidence that things are turning around? Yes.
And how many jobs did we lose in the quarter?

Less then we were losing monthly a year ago. Don't have the exact number for you but I'm sure it's out there. Job losses have been steadily improving over the last year... Along with every other measurable aspect of the economy.

More jobs were lost than gained. Saying it was slightly better than bad (last year) does not make it good.

In my book, that is not good news. Your mileage varies.

This is going to be their tact all year.

Good news comes out.

They ban together to say its not good enough news.

Helping American recover by building consumer confidence.

162,000 Jobs out of how many millions UNEMPLOYED.

The total includes 48,000 temporary workers hired for the U.S. Census,

and they trumpet this as being, GOOD NEWS.

GOOD FRIGGEN GRIEF.

The beginning of the Recession is agreed by experts to be in September of 2008, and started with the Lehman Brothers collapse. Obama wasn't sworn in as president until Jan 20, 2009.

What that tells you is that Obama's and Democratic policies are finally and positively affecting the economy.

Ford Outpaces Industry Growth With 35.3% March Sales Gain

Ford’s fleet sales last month soared 53% from year-ago, Pipas says, attributing the increase to fleet customers purchasing more vehicles as the economy rebounds. Ford’s fleet mix for the month was 33%, and of that, only 19% were to daily rental fleets, he says.

We are just not hemmoraging jobs as fast as we were.
Which indicates we may be nearing a sustainable level of jobs for now.

You on the left remember that we are not allowed to use the same type of rhetoric now as the right did when Boosh was president.

Besides the market is doing great. Who needs jobs?

I wouldn't use "Slightly better than bad," I'd use "Treading water vs. sinking like a stone."

Remember, we are tethered to a business cycle here. Unemployment is always the last leg; Last to go down, last to come back up.

The economy has shown great improvement over the last year, by any methodology you wish to use.

Temps use is way up.

This is an economic indicator that there is going to be a hiring phaswe coming.

This makes me happy.

I love it when Americans get jobs and the Country is growing.

Recovery is on its way.

Tax revenues will go up.

We will be able to fix more of our Sorely delapitated Infrastructure whcih will create even MORE jobs spuring even more recovery.

Its a good day for the USA.

So, the economy is good and there is no reason for the left to have another stimulus bill or to spend more. But, you hate America.

Why not? Didn't the right do the same thing when Bush was president?
Remember jobless recovery?
I don't seem to recall the right complaining about that at the time.

Jobs have always been a "lagging" indicator of an improving economy.

Personally, I don't see it getting better. 8 years of Republican policies have seen a huge redistribution of wealth from the middle class to the top 1%. Republicans have supported moving American jobs overseas so a few CEOs could make a killing. Republicans deregulated Wall Street to make predatory lending more effective and also more harmful.

Republicans are anti education, so there is no help there.

I just don't see things getting better for a long time.

Helping American recover by building consumer confidence.

It's the truth, my friend, hell it was their tactic all this past year. All you hear about is "unemployment, unemployment, unemployment", while every other indicator upticked steadily throughout the year. Sales up, DJIA waaay up, spending up. Foreclosures down, bankruptcies down, construction up. Job losses slowing substantially, but alas, unemployment still up.

Until now.

Like I said, unemployment is the last phase. Last down, last back up. The reverse has begun (albiet not enough yet to affect the rate), and the jobless rate will continue to fall.

Recovery will help the american people and shore up the housing market.

People being able to pay their mortgages and begining to spend again.

Maybe we can now start to think about Fixing our schools?
