MODS we need a care button!!!!!

You obviously don't care much if all you can do is click a button. A few kind words isn't too much if you really care.

I think that some types just wanna be seen in order to maybe satisfy some inner sense of self-importance.

Comparable to the types who go around bragging and advertising about giving to the poor and whatnot.

Anyway. hjmick wins the thread...

Just sayin - this is Foxfyre, our long term resident nice person. I don't know if there is anyone else here that tops her in the "I care" arena.
Thank you my friend. That person seems to think I am the Devil personified and never say or do anything right. Whether he/she is right or wrong about that, the way it is expressed gives me a lot of opportunity to utilize my New Year's Resolution. :)

I'm sorry that you think that. I had no intention of disparaging you, and I'm not sure how you could get that impression from what I wrote. I see no need for a "care " button, for the reason I stated. It had nothing to do with whoever might have made the request. Actually caring about something requires an effort more than clicking a button. From your posts that I have read, I assumed you believed that as well.

Hey Mods,

Would it be possible to ask admin to give us a "Care" reaction button to use? When a member announces he/she lost a loved one or beloved pet or got unexpectedly laid off or just went on chemo or things like that, none of the reaction buttons we have are really suitable to respond to that.

Facebook has a 'care' reaction choice for that. Can we have something similar?
Seems a bit shallow and short sighted to me ~IMO.
The concept is much better served using a short few sentences in a personal post rather than an easy click and forget button tab of a rep/reply.

On the topic of "Rep"/"Reply" "buttons", I'll suggest we need some of a more general~generic sort focused on a larger and more specific range. Currently we are offered about 7 "Positive" versus 3 "Negative" choices and I think we are owed a few more in the "negative" range to balance options and choices.

I'm starting a separate thread on this topic/subject/concept.

Every post acknowledged does not need a comment. But acknowledging the post--the person making the post sees that and it is also useful for me to know that I have acknowledged it--does not in any way interfere with commenting on, expressing concern, and/or condolences when it is appropriate and or helpful to do that.

I agree with a few others that if you "really" "care" than say so in a few words. No need for a special 'rep' button.

If you're going to make this about Foxfire?

Then does she care about the thousands of Palestinian women and children being slaughtered in the Zionists' genocide?

How can we tell if a Christian cares, when the facts suggest that they don't care?

Let it go so we can all get back on topic!
Still not a genocide. You’re a very stupid little maggot.

When one goes down to the "rep" "button" zone we find about 7 "positive" reply "buttons" versus about 3 "negative" 'buttons'.
Clearly we could use a few more "negative" "buttons" to cover the "negative" range of response nuances.

Why can't we have more diversity of choices .... ???

Look for the next and separate thread I'll start on this subject.

You are one of the more lucid and shining members of this Board.

And, the idea of such a care button is nice. It may not be actually needed but I don’t see why that matters. I doubt we need all ones we do have, already.

You sound jealous.

You can quote and make your reply STFU.

Some goofs such as Westwall think that a long string of red thumbs are insulting. He should learn that they're the opposite and indicate that he paid attention! Silly fuks.
Or..you might just suck. :abgg2q.jpg:
And westwall doesn't agree with what Chicom agitprop you're pushing right then.

15th post
Foxfire has to be one of the very top posters when it comes to resisting the urge to tell idiots they are idiots.

The very worst thing I can say about her is that she can get into school marm mode on occasion.
