Moana costume racist?!

This article recommends that parents with white kids not allow them to dress up as Moana, a princess with brown skin because it would be racist... how is this article and concept not completely racist and perpetuating racial issues?

Please explain if you support or understand the point of the authors of this article

I'd never deny my kid the simple happiness of having the Halloween costume he wants just to pacify some adult that's more immature than he is.
