In this instance, CIS is a far right source with a clear political agenda and a history of shoddy research.

But we don’t need to go by reputation alone.

They base their estimate of self deportations on the CPS, however that is a voluntary survey and in this political climate, there’s ample reason to believe that individuals may be far more reluctant to self report their immigrant status to the government. So there’s a reporting bias that isn’t dealt with.

It would be hard to imagine 2 million people disappearing from the country without it being a little bit more noticeable.

I am saying that ICE should be able to stop passers-by with-or-without "probable cause" for identity checks while this lasts.

As a necessary short-term tactic to overcome Sanctuary Jurisdiction policies that allowed so many into the region earlier.

Once the "Federal law enforcement emergency measures" are no longer needed we revert back to normal criteria.
