The Light of Truth
The state should not put the life of the criminal ahead of the life of his victims. The person instigating the criminal acts shouldn't be the one controlling the allowed response by the potential victim.

what about inside the home?MN does not have a stand your ground law; the law specifies a duty to retreat when not inside the home.
Stupid law.
Why did anyone need to try and disarm him? That's aggression and changes the parameters. The man with the knife put the knife away but Blevins remained armed with the machete.
When someone attempted to disarm him that person was cut which is what Blevins was charged for.
Not in my world.Did he have an obligation to disarm after the first man did?
I've never seen an escalation get resolved by walking away. Yeah, not in man's world. Especially if someone has someone outnumbered. That seems to be the actual question here. It seems he could have simply walked away. Being outnumbered would have still felt threatened?
Castle doctrine.what about inside the home?
they care only for criminals. This is why the west has such a high level of crime.
Meh, Minnesota is a shithole state that deserves what they voted for.Who is to determine if you have a "reasonable" possibility of retreating? Your life is in danger; you have the ability and will to defend yourself, but you have to take a few moments and think, can I outrun the assailant? My choices are to defend myself and face jail time, or try and flee where I can still die.
Can everyone think that quickly on their feet?

True, but my reaction is still the same./—-/ But shithole state rulings have the tendency to spread across the country.
Other Blue States say, “Look what Minnesota got away with. We can criminalize self defense too.”
I would rather be judged in my rural county outside of the Twin Cities.Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.
The state is over run with votes from 3 metropolitan counties. The entire rest of the state outside the urban areas are nothing but pickup trucks and Trump flags.Meh, Minnesota is a shithole state that deserves what they voted for.
The liberal courts will determine what is reasonable. Didn't happen in Minnesota but in 2014 Michael Brown grabbed for a policeman's gun in Ferguson, MO and they struggled over it. Brown was eventually killed by police. But, the whole thing could have been avoided if the policeman had just turn tailed and ran away. Brown might never have been killed. This is how the liberal courts would have determined it.Who is to determine if you have a "reasonable" possibility of retreating? Understood, there are several northern states like that. I feel for the conservatives there, still.......The state is over run with votes from 3 metropolitan counties. The entire rest of the state outside the urban areas are nothing but pickup trucks and Trump flags.
YaHillary only won the state by a lousy 70,000 votes.
Same shit goes for Wisconsin and Michigan whose overpopulated urban areas overtake the rural. Exactly why the leftists love the poor refugees. Those fuckers in the city don't speak for the entire state.
Not as long as DeSantis is in Tallahassee. Our fate is your future. I wouldn't be so judgmental.
