This is SOP in all blue states and cities and has been for years. Anti-white racism is everywhere in america. Glad to see trump do something about it.
dec 21 2025 The Department of Justice has launched a major civil rights lawsuit against Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS), accusing the district of engaging in open, systemic discrimination against teachers based on race and sex.

According to the federal complaint filed, the DOJ alleges that Minneapolis Public Schools and its school board adopted a collective bargaining agreement (CBA) that explicitly shielded “teachers of color” from layoffs, while forcing white and non-preferred teachers to be fired, reassigned, or skipped over, regardless of seniority or qualifications.

The same race-based rules apply when teachers are reinstated. Under the contract, teachers of color are rehired first, even if white teachers were laid off earlier and have more experience.
The lawsuit also highlights a separate and even more explicit discrimination scheme involving an organization called “Black Men Teach.”

Under a special memorandum of agreement embedded in the contract, Black male teachers receive exclusive benefits unavailable to women or non-Black teachers, including:
  • Protection from layoffs and reassignment
  • Priority hiring at certain schools
  • Five additional paid days off per year for training and professional development

Trump loves losing in court

If blacks are overrepresented in the MPS, then Trump's already won via the Disparate Impact legal precedent.

The only question is how many black teachers will need to be fired to bring MPS into perfect alignment with the state's racial demographics.
Probably none since the Trump admin is not a serious administration and this lawsuit is just crumbs for the right wing grift

From a plain reading of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, it sounds like MPS is in clear violation of the CRA and the 14A and Minnesota's own Constitution.

Oh can you summarize the collective bargaining agreement for us since you read it? :lmao:

Sure. Refer to p 235 of the CBA (linked below)

c. BMT Fellows shall be allowed five (5) days per year of reserve teacher coverage, with no loss of pay or benefits, to participate in BMT-sponsored professional development events. Absences for said professional development shall not take place on District professional development days.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, to the extent that this Memorandum of Agreement may be construed asa deviation from the terms of the 2021-2023 or 2023-2025 Collective Bargaining Agreements between the District and the Union, it shall not set precedent nor form the basis of any grievance that may be filed concerning any alleged violation of the contract.

This Memorandum of Agreement shall expire on June 30, 2025.

If you have reasoning to suggest how this can possibly be legal, as opposed to the demonstrably untrue weak sauce that the Trump Admin is not serious enough to defend people's civil rights, then please share.

The democrats are full of SOPs and all of them are designed to skirt laws to give themselves an unfair advantage. In other words: they cheat. Then they tell themselves you are a minority, in a cult, and not the prevailing view even when you are.

This blatant racism was outlawed 61 years ago, and the "Liberals" want to take us back to the 1950s....
