Back in 1990, The QVC Cable Shopping Channel was conducting a national talent search. I had no qualifications to speak of, but I needed a job, and thought TV might be a fun way to pay the bills. So I showed up at The Marriott in downtown Baltimore with a few hundred other hopefuls, and waited for a chance to audition. When it was my turn, the elevator took me to the top floor, where a man no expression led me into a suite and asked me to take a seat behind a large desk. Across from the desk, there was a camera on a tripod. On the desk was a digital timer with an LED display. I took a seat as the man clipped a microphone on my shirt and explained the situation.

He is against public sector unions ability to collectively bargain, just like FDR was. I haven't seen him in any news involving private industry unions.

The probelm.....they donate to democrat politicians.....then, when the politicains are going to pay public sector union employees and award them benefits....they make really nice deals.....and then the public sector unions contribute to them....and then the unions and the politicians, again, work together to increase the union pay and benefits....notice who is left out of the equation....the people whose money it is...the taxpayers....

You don't have that same problem with private sector unions....they make demands of the company where they work...the company has an incentive to not give the unions such extravagant pay and benefits that the business goes bankrupt....the unions have an incentive to only ask for enough without forcing the business to go bankrupt....both parties have an interest in the company being successful.....

Public sector unions have no such incentive...and there fore you get the pensions that are bankrupt, and the states that are bankrupt.....and then the whole system collapses.....

Some would say its no different than big business helping republicans they want elected to do so? I agree that is a problem if that explanation is what is happening...I never paid much attention..also wouldn't reversing citizens united case solve the problem of them donating to democrats?
