Mike Johnson extends FISA in secret with the democrats

Sounds communist enough. Problem these days is trusting a weaponized government, otherwise one that is exactly like what we've been witnessing with these gaslighting Democrat's, and sadly witnessing this ever since modern technology has allowed the government it's many ways of monitoring American's by indirect means.. It is now enjoying this in ways that it has never before had the ability to do until now.

Social media is it's best free speech target that it wants to control, otherwise they want this control for limiting speech for political reasons, otherwise reasons endorsed that are definitely slanted left to be found in many cases when such leftist reasoning is used.
why is it that when Republicans are being convicted of crimes they have committed against the government, it al of a sudden Democrats are weaponizing the government they were either convicted in the courts or pled guilty the majority pled guilty ... so how is that weaponizing government ...

next, you go off on social media on being the only place for free speech... Do you mean like the democrats stole the election by illegal voting nonsense or all the other conspiracy theorists seem to try and get away with lying about ... where you nut cases lap up these lies like they are the truth or something ...

then you go off gaslighting democrats you mean like the democrats

demanding Trump provide evidence of his election fraud claims ??? that gas lighting??? or where Trump took classified documents and left them in the open for anybody to see ... that gaslighting ??? Or where Trump lied to the banks where he had more money than he did ... then he lied to the IRS because he didn't want to pay taxes ??? that gas lighting ??? seems you hate the idea of being told the truth that you don't like ... like I've always said theres no such thing as the liberal press ... there is a such of a thing asd press you don't like ... gaslighting, another republican drinking the koolaid

Can Mike Johnson be responsible for Republicans that are found to be failing by leaning towards the very things it accuses others of doing ??? No he can't be responsible for that, and he must stand up for the principles he espouses regardless of how many so called Republicans might fall around him.

The Democrat's are smart in a demonic way though, because they try to normalize sin or unusual Acts in order to use such things openly without condemnation or a breaking of the old rules that guided ethic's and decorum in all things usually dealt with. The latest folly by a Democrat was this John Fetterman's attempt at destroying the dress code that luckily failed massively when a bipartisan effort finally stood against such stupidity. The nation needs more bipartisanship in order to battle against the things that rogue charismatic officials attempt to bring into the arena's.
you are so full of bullshit ...all of a sudden you Republicans instead of proving that the actions of Democrats is wrong call them demonic, that's hilarious ... you mean like when Ther republicans agreed with Trump where they all voted for him not to be impeach ??? or the lies he told about voters fraud or where he lied to the country about his net worth ??? or were he refused to let people see his taxes who would find out what a fraud he is ??? those demonic people ??? seems you use words to try and win your rant here ... all you did was show us all how stupid you are ...

Border security is becoming more bipartisan by the day. More than 80% of American see the border as a major problem. If xiden doesn't address it the commiecrats will be in deep shit in 24.

Riiiiiight, AFTER 10 million more illegals were allowed to invade. MARK MY WORDS amnesty is next. After that it's over. 20-30 million bribed illegals will RIG elections for Dems/RINO's for decades. Then Washington can get back to doing whatever the hell they want without fearing a backlash from voters.

there is no such thing as a weaponized government ...there is however such a thing as republicans getting convicted for the crimes they have committed and you can't stand that idea .. so you wordsmith with weaponizing or gaslighting ...as if that exists... show us anywhere the AG weaponized any conviction after all they pled guilty ...or were any democrat is gaslighted anything ... just you saying they do doesn't cut it... just because you don't like it doesn't mean it was gaslighted ...

Ha, you answered your own questions in your post as is written. First thing is that once a government is weaponized, then it begins to go after it's political enemies by way of the weaponization of said government. Secondly none of the so called crimes would have ever been labeled or seen as such if the government wasn't taken over by a party that is attempting to fundamentally change the nation against the majority citizens will, and this by way of weaponizing said government in order to force compliance. I'm mainly talking about Trump and the attacks on him for 4+ year's straight being the biggest example. Republicans commit crimes sure, and yes they'll be charged with those crimes, but usually it's Republicans who are in wolves clothing that end up in situation's that expose them for not truly upholding Republican standards or values that most usually try and live by. Yes it all has to be broken down in order to get through the weeds.

no illegals have invaded anything just because you buy Ron DeSantis bullshit doesn't make it factual... now there have been immagrents coming into the US under the protection asylum where they received legal documentation to enter ... that Ron DeSantis hate and calls them illegals where they are not ... last I heard immigrants can't vote unless they are now citizens ... where they have the right to vote for anybody who they like ...now let's look at the immigrants who you claim they vote for democrats, again immigrants can't vote ... but when they can vote as citizens how would they vote ... would you vote for a party who fights every attempt for you to become a citizen... or would you vote for a party that calls you a rapist a criminal, a drug deal;er ??? tell us oh wise one with all the invasion angles here ... who would you vote for as a citizen ...oh by the way your numbers are nowhere near being accurate ... do you, Like Trump, make it worse than it is ???

Mike Johnson, the man democrats would have us believe is the devil, the man who will implement a theocracy and force us all to give up porn has met with democrats in secret to extend FISA.

Speaker Mike Johson (R-LA) faced backlash for including a FISA extension in the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), frustrating conservatives who were not consulted.

Rep. Majorie Taylor Greene criticized the move, blaming Johnson for negotiating a deal that included funding for abortion, trans surgeries, and a clean FISA extension.

This decision was seen as a sell-out of conservative principles and a win for Democrats.

“It also would pass a CLEAN FISA extension. Not to mention, more of your taxpayer dollars sent to Ukraine to fund the proxy war.,” Greene said.

“No member of the NDAA conference had any influence on this process. It was done in secret meetings with no input from conferees.”

“Now, we’re supposed to just grin and take it with no say in the final bill.”

The joke is once again on American conservatives who may buy into the circus known as the Swamp, that suggests they have actual representatives who are fighting for them, when that is the farthest thing from the truth there is.
Surveillance for thee, unfettered Illegals for me - Swamp slogan

There’s no chance this will end peacefully

Matt Gaetz needs to be reined in and convinced that when the GOP is dictatorial and authoritarian, they can be as wrong as are the Democrats when they are dictatorial and authoritarian. And especially when you have a majority that is razor thin, you compromise or you lose everything. A Speaker who doesn't understand that cannot do his job. Gaetz and company who allow Johnson no room to compromise on anything set him up for certain failure. Gaetz seems to be oblivious to the fact that not everybody, not all Republicans, think exactly like he does. That if the will of the Congress allows the GOP only half a loaf, they accept that or they get nothing.

“Johnson . . .noted in his letter that he has received commitments from Schumer and McConnell that the Senate “will work in good faith on a final reform bill that can be passed in both chambers.”

Majority Leader Steve Scalise, a Louisiana Republican, said that leadership is trying to find a “fair process” for working out the differences on the House floor between the two different bills.

“We don’t want to lose the reforms that came out of Judiciary and (Intelligence committees), but you obviously have got a difference between the two committees on a final piece, and that is on the warrants,” Scalise said. “That is going to have to get resolved on the House floor next week.”

“Everybody has got different opinions on how to handle FISA,” Scalise said. “Each side is pushing very aggressively for their approach. These are Republican committees so that is something that our members are ultimately going to have to decide.”

Working with what ???? Tolerating or working with people that slip evilness into Bill's due to this compromising of one's principles for the feelings of other's is deadly ....These compromises have proven not to have this countries best interest at hand.. They have been a failure of epic proportions over the years. However I agree that digging out of the hole is not something that can be done quickly. Members have got to come together, but they should absolutely not compromise on evilness being allowed to enter in.

There is little pleasant in politics most especially when you have opposing agendas and goals in mind. The Founders knew that a pure democracy would be a tyranny as much as any dictatorship, so they gave us a representative republic to even things out and allow those in the minority opportunity to have a voice and participate. Our chosen representatives would do political battle for us to make our laws and put together the workings of government that we will have.

The GOP can be as self serving as anybody else, but at least they do represent and need the votes of we who think government should work for the people and their goals and agenda instead of its own whims and agenda. The Democrats seem to think the government should be the sole authority and dictate what the people will have or be allowed. And those who keep electing Democrats seem to be okay with that.

When the two opposing sides are as nearly equal as they are now, it is unlikely either side will get everything it wants. Since the Democrats control the Senate and White House, and their majority is razor thin in the House, the Democrats have the advantage at this time. If the GOP does not negotiate in good faith with the Democrats, they will get nothing for the people they represent. And that means they may have to agree to some really bad stuff in order to get anything good passed.

They do not have the power to stand and die on every hill. They have to pick their battles and I pray they pick the most important ones for the people they represent.

I'd be willing to sacrifice and get nothing than to take a grain of evilness out of the hand of the devil in order to appease him and his minions. True there are equal sides competing, but always remember that one side is usually right, and the other side wants a compromise if it is wrong. No one should compromise their values and standards for anything that is wrong or evil. American families and children depend on it. FACT..

I understand your sentiment. And it is galling when the GOP compromises to allow something that is just flat out wrong.

But they also have to weigh the cause and effect. To refuse to extend the NDAA could put Americans at unacceptable security risk. Johnson and others understand that and at what price of life/treasure/security of the country would be an intractable all or nothing position.

For instance the GOP in interest of reforming the NDAA thinks compensation for radiation victims has no place in it. Such compensation should be removed from the act, debated, and if warranted placed somewhere more appropriate. The Democrats adamantly balk at removing that provision. Is that one issue more important than the nation's security?

The Democrats would send the country to hell in a hand basket in a heart beat. That may be their end game from all appearance lately. So the GOP has to make some concessions to protect and/or do right by America and Americans.

All Johnson did by extending the existing act to April was protect the country and allowing the GOP time to change some minds, gain some support, etc. and perhaps create a stronger negotiating position. He did not agree to keep the act as it is in perpetuity.

A little over my head, so all I can say is that hopefully intelligent mind's prevail in regards to our nations strategic agenda's, and their overall values regarding such things .... Thanks 🙏

I'm no expert on all this but have been a media and government watcher/non professional analyzer for many decades now. And I spend quite a bit of time watching the debates on Cspan. Years ago when my son and daughter were both drafted as pages for a day for the state legislature, I enjoyed sitting in the gallery watching our state laws debated and passed. And learned a lot about the process.

When the worst of our government holds so much power, the GOP is really at a distinct advantage to take the high road in more than a very few non negotiable areas. They really have to pick their battles carefully. Trump knew that. McCarthy knew that. Johnson knows that.

The current crop of 'woke' Democrats have little to offer America, no vision, almost nothing proposed that would really be beneficial to Americans without more negative consequences than good accomplished. But the Democrats hold the lion's share of the power and if the GOP keeps throwing out people the Democrats could have it all.

So the high road for the GOP at this time is to get what they can for the good of America and minimize the damage the other side is able to do as much as it can.

That's why so many Republicans, Patriots, Independents etc. who say they won't vote for this or that Republican or for Trump due to this or that issue are so frustrating to me. They really do throw the baby out with the bath water and would destroy America due to some ideological position.

Good intentions. Disastrous consequences.
