The most recent data are ascending and at an accelerated pace. You say "there is a cooling, but it is a short one". You make two mistakes: the microscopic amount of cooling took place only in the Northern Hemisphere (note the Southern rises continuously) and the proper verb in that sentence would have been "WAS", not "is".
If you'd like to cherry pick some data, the final rise in the NH data looks to be over 1.5C/decade.

It has been adjusted even before Karl added new adjustments to it.
In our lab we have had to download regional data stations original data to get a reliable base line of unadjusted data. Many of the older data sets have been scrubbed from the internet to keep others from finding them and exposing the lies. I have friends that are in their 70's who have given me terabytes of original data to create a searchable data base. Were about half done.. I believe we have all of GHCN station records unaltered.
