I've never done that, although it may be possible. I think you'd have to swim out to it, if I recall. They definitely let you stand under waterfalls. What's cool is that they're amber colored, and in the winter, it's beautiful:

1) Mackinac Bridge, a 5-mile long bridge connecting Lower Peninsula to Upper Peninsula. Lake Michigan was to the left, Lake Huron to the right.
2) East Channel Lighthouse on Grand Island
3) Another view of the tower of Au Sable Lighthouse.
4) Remains of a shipwreck washed up on the beach in the early 1900s
5) Gorgeous colorful rocks found all along the beaches. My kids had a blast collecting these. We brought home grocery bags full of them. My husband even found me a pale orange one shaped like a heart (Aaawwww!)

Man, do I know all sorts of useless facts about that bridge They are always painting it. As soon as they finish, they basically have to start over.
