Michigan high school ref pelted with garbage by basketball team, coach after playoff loss

A Michigan referee was pelted with garbage thrown by a high school assistant basketball coach, a player, and fans upset about his calls after losing a playoff game.

first of all he must be a crappy coach in a HS game his team only scored 36 and
I'm sure it was just an accident.

Dowaic, Mi is clear on the other side of the state but article had to throw in Detroit. In fact Dowaic is about 45 miles SW of Kalamazoo.

This is why schools districts can't find good referees....

i can hardly remember a church game where I would go to watch my kids play, and someone would come and get me to referee.
One time a coach started complaining to me and I said, "Well maybe if your team didn't throw such crappy passes that turned into 50/50 balls i could start calling fouls."
