if light is a particle that travels along pfft 'nothing', and the earth is moving through space, why would the michelson morley expectations of finding the aether wind be any different? If I shot a photon beam in the direction the earth is moving wouldn't the experiment show the same results as if light was a wave moving along the aether? So in other words the same experiment that disproves the aether also disproves the photon.

Not really, because they were confident they could "see" or "detect" streams of photons well, even back then. What "disproves" both "the photon" and the MM expectations are the intractable, self-contradictory presumptions involved with both. The Aether is a field, not some stream of waves or particles. The photon is presumed, even now, to possess wave/particle duality. "Momentum" being a vector manifestation or defined unit amount of mass/energy, travelling in a given direction, somehow without mass logically yields travelling units of energy alone. No mass, no "momentum." Silliness. But, they were trying hard and quite clever for their time nonetheless.

Fields have lines of force which (in space or the magnetic realm) may be considered "dense" or "sparse" per unit volume, but not moving in any sense analogous to waves or particles as imagined by typical quantum physicists.
