Why don't the libs who are bitching and moaning about the official name change for the Gulf of America, complain about Mexico doing the same thing?

Is their hatred for US culture that deep, that we aren't allowed to name our own physical features?

Maybe changing the name of the Gulf of America can be on the Democrat Platform in 2028?

The what?

You mean the Gulf of Mexico?

Is that near Lake Illinois?

Are all those things near Red, White and Blueland?

Being a real Merican i.e. from the south, I don't get upset over things having two different names. Really no different than the yankees calling the two ass whippings they took at Bull Run the First and Second Battles of Manassas.

Now, not to put too fine of a point on it, but I will also give you directions based on where things used to be. "Go down her about a mile and turn left where the Revco used to be and drive all the way past where the mill was and you will see it right there on the right in that same building that used to sell high-priced wines and shit".

Surely it's up to the Mexicans to complain about that change.

It's called 格蘭德河 or 格兰德河 in Chinese, does anyone care?

리오그란데강 in Korean, does anyone care?

Рио-Гранде in Russian, does anyone care?

No, they care what it's called in the US.
