But not being government but rather a useful idiot used by bad government, Facebook may have opened itself to government regulation as it is a publicly owned company, but currently there is no law that says it cannot set whatever policy it wants short of plotting overthrow of the government or some such.

Anybody who spends any time on social media--at least before Elon Musk bought Twitter--knows that censorship of all conversative/Patriot/Republican/right of center inquiry, opinion, statement of verifiable fact, etc. etc. etc. that in any way offends or exposes the bad acts of the left have been strongly practiced for years now.

The Marxist game plan is to control the message (media, all means of communication), destroy religion as an important aspect of the life of the people, tear down or rewrite the histories to coincide with the long range objectives, indoctrinate the youth, destroy traditions, values, relationships/traditional families that have served society well for centuries/millennia.

Then when society has become detached without its traditional anchors and has fallen into corruption, disarray, decadence, immorality, rudderlessness, the government that promises to restore stability and purpose is welcomed. And voila! You have become a totalitarian country in which the government dictates what you will be allowed to believe or say, what you will he allowed to own or earn, where you will be allowed to travel, where you must live, what rights you will be allowed to have. And nobody who has ever experienced freedom will like that at all.

Number one on that list is to control the message and silence all who recognize and oppose that agenda in any way.

The First Amendment doesn't cover lies. The courts have already made rulings that the right to free speech doesn't extend to "say or do whatever you want". There are limits.
