So they had a near perfect primary yesterday with record early voting. Why? Because the Secretary of State made the process simple with a mailing to request absentee ballots instead of standing in line for hours and spreading the COVIDS. But the state GOP can't have a perfect, safe election. Expect this BS right up until November.

Republican state lawmakers are on a mission: Make it as difficult as possible for Iowans to vote.
Their latest effort to fulfill this mission came in the form of a last-minute 30-page amendment to a previously simple, noncontroversial bill. Sen. Roby Smith, R-Davenport, said the new legislation, passed along party lines after a contentious late-night debate, is intended to support “safe, secure and reliable elections.”
It is not. Iowa already has safe, secure and reliable elections. The goal is voter suppression. The bill, among other things, prohibits the secretary of state from mailing absentee ballot requests to Iowans without a written voter request.
In other words, it would prevent the current secretary, Republican Paul Pate, from doing exactly what he recently did. To promote voting by mail during the coronavirus pandemic, he sent mail-in ballot request forms for the June 2 primary to all registered voters in the state.
The result was record voter turnout, largely due to absentee voting. More than 520,000 votes were cast — shattering the existing record of about 450,000 set in 1994. Polk County saw a seven-fold increase in early voting.

I expect them to cheap like hell to get tramp re-elected.

I don't get the problem with Absentee ballots. Anyone in Ohio can.

First your registration must be current. If not you have to register which requires one of the following as ID: Current and valid photo identification, a military identification, or a current (within the last 12 months) utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or government document (other than a notice of voter registration mailed by a board of elections) that shows the voter’s name and current address.

Next you apply for an Absentee ballot. Again providing a valid form of ID as above or a valid Drivers License number or the last four of SS number.

After that you get your ballot mailed to you and fill it out. I assume this is the same process for everyone. Seems as safe as any other method. The people that count the votes should be the thing that concerns people.

Remember, the democrat Party called an accurate voter database an "existential threat" to their continued existence. Is it because the non-living, multiple, illegal and fake voters make up the majority of their votes in any given election?

Anyone in Iowa can as well. They have the minimum requirement of being alive which is pissing the democrats off.

You're a goofball. There is NO proof of such. Kindly stop repeating Donald's lies.

Oh hell yeah - There is NO bottom to their crooked BS.

That's ridiculous - Please stop it.

A lousy 35 mil? Tough - The crap Parscale is pulling makes this look like child's play.
He won't be in Camp Donnie for very long. ;)

A false vote count? Gotta link on that, or for that matter ANYONE voting twice, dead people voting, illegal immigrants voting ... ANYTHING?

No ya don't. Many states are auto registering any US citizen who gets a driver's license. Had to present my birth cert, old DL from Idaho, my property taxes on new home, proof of residency, EVERYTHING you mentioned in addition to passing a fairly difficult test.

I didn't even need to ask to get my OR absentee ballot. It was sent automatically thanks to Governor Kate.

Coronavirus is over.

No need to change the system.

Vote absentee if you need to.

Yeah, Donnie isn't talking about it for obvious reasons (he failed us - DuH?) But we're still losing 2-3,000 a week and that's with Trumpy governors failing to accurately report facts. It ain't over and you probably should stop pretending that it is.

Forecast is for 155 thousand by early August. And THAT is the best case scenario. Even with the undercounts, chances good for a quarter million by election day.

Over 5% of people on voting roles in Nassau County are dead or have completely left Nassau County.
Almost 100% of people don't know that there is a legal process to removing yourself from the voting roles.

Now that Democrats have been exposed for sending Coronavirus patients to nursing homes we can expect even less then the 2 million Democrats hoped would die.
