Merry Christmas

I have a feeling you are not agnostic or atheist but anti-theist. I respect and accept all faiths and no faith but you seem to hate and ridicule people like me who believe in God. I think you and me wont easy find a common ground.

Chat about it after we get the next chapter of Alien Dislosure both Historical and Present .
Coming soon and probably this coming year .

The only advance warning I can give you is :-
Universe is very simple in summary but infinitely complex in its structure and workings .

Your very simple idea of God has been fed to you because it is the best type of story for you at this present time .

Crudely it is akin to feeding Sheeple children Santa Claus stories to save them from grappling with the real Universe before they are able to --- a Universe of interlocking constants and fluctuating variables ( Karma etc ) which expand into other new constants .

See what I mean ?
The Jesus story is quite enough for you right now .

No Santa Clause visit for me this year. Did have supper with my oldest sister and husband. Great meal, she is a top class cook.
So I just had a glass of Egg Nog which yes I do like. I said Happy Birthday Jesus and now on line hopping to read some up beat post. Merry Christmas all. Love each other.

Merry Christmas to you too!

What about people who have no God, who blesses them?
So I guess you don't like A Christmas Carol!

God blesses everyone, regardless of faith or no faith, belief or no belief.

Also, you can interpret God however you like.

The word is a stand-in for a universal concept irrespective of differences in theologies and cosmologies.

Do you think atheists think it's a "universal concept"?

No.

I just think that even what atheists believe or don't believe is just another route to the ultimate truth, whether or not we all believe there is an ultimate truth or agree on what that ultimate truth is.

If you know nothing, just make something up, it'll keep you happy.

Definitely better than being miserable, which a lot of people not just on all political sides but also of all beliefs or understandings seem to be, especially as evidenced on these boards.

I personally don't hold anything against anyone, except for how they treat their fellow human beings based on their assumptions about their fellow human beings.

Fine, if you want to make something up, just don't expect everyone else to go along with your made up friend.
