A Christmas Message From Congressman Dan Meuser
Twas’ the Night Before Christmas, and all through the People’s House…
Not a member was stirring, but we had our doubts.
The Amendments were all filed at the desk with care,
In hopes that the Clerk would read them from there.
The Democrats sat patiently, all set in their ways,
Knowing that the Republicans would be ignored this day.
Now Texans in their boots, the rest in our shoes,
We spoke up for the People while the Democrats boo’d.
When out in the hall there arose such a clatter,
We sprang from our seats to see what was the matter
Away from the rostrum, we flew like a flash,
Even Jerry Nadler got up and ran an open dash.
When what to our wondering eyes should appear
But a very large motorcade and not a single reindeer.
In black Suburbans we see, they all came ridin’
We knew in that moment, that it must be Joe Biden!
More rapid than eagles his crisis’ they came,
He whistled and shouted and called them by name!
Raise taxes, Raise Gas Prices, and open the Border!
Now vax mandates, Now inflation, Now Crime and disorder.
A backup in the supply chain, and a lack of a wall
Run rampant! Run rampant! Run rampant! All!
He spoke not a word, while many were paid not to work.
There was much extra money from government perks.
As 2022 loomed and 2024 so near,
The GOP shall prevail in what will be a great year.
Americans deserve, a break from all of these burdens
But your holiday meal is going to cost more this year, we know that for certain.
So we leave you with this, a message to be delivered,
In hopes that soon, our legislation will be reconsidered.
We will continue to work and put in a good fight,
But, until the majority comes, we wish a Merry Christmas to all, and to all a goodnight!
