I just finished some work for Mercy Hospitals. The people I worked with attended an all-hands meeting where the management told them that 10% of the staff would be laid off. They said they had to do that because the volume of patients had decreased because of Obamacare. It seems that no one goes to the hospital unless they are near death because they can't afford the Obamacare deductibles.

Democrats signed their death warrant when the approved this piece of crap.

A hospital or hospitals serve as primary care physicians?

No links.

No evidence.

What a piece of shit.

I don't believe the premise of the OP.

BTW, couldn't they just go to the emergency room like they did before Obamacare and let taxpayers pick up the tab?

They'll be OK, the VA is hiring. Secure government union jobs.

Look at the bright side:

1. If you like your plan, you can keep your plan. Period.
2. If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor.
3. Obamacare will save the average American family 2500 bucks a year.

If these weren't true, Obama never would have repeated them over and over.
All is sweetness and light on the unicorn ranch.
If you disagree, you're a reactionary racist.

There. Nothing more to discuss. Move along.

I used to go to my doctor every three months.
He would do a checkup, take some blood run a few tests in his office tell me again to lose weight. I pay a reasonable co pay and that was that.

I am considered high risk for colon cancer and need to have colonoscopies quite often...again I would pay a reasonable co pay and that was that....

Now because of OCare and a nice $6,000.00 deductible I am doing neither.
I have refills for a few months on my prescriptions so I can get by for a bit...

Thanks Libs.

See that's how f...king dumb you ARE..!!
Taxpayers NEVER picked up the tab dumb shit!!
"How do hospitals deal with the cost of the uninsured? Like any business, we pass it on to the paying customers.
We must charge each patient more to recover the unreimbursed cost of care provided to the uninsured and “government payers.”

Unlike you I guess I have access to 6,000+ hospitals and what the BILL Medicare... here is for example ONE hospital..

Florida Hospital Tampa 3100 East Fletcher Avenue Tampa, FL 33613
Florida hospital filed 1,120 claims for Computed Tomography without Contrast
Each claim they filed with Medicare was for $3,639.
Each CAT scan cost the hospital - $59

A total markup of $3,580.00 over the cost to do the service of:
6,067.8% MARK UP over costs!

Do you understand you dumb f...k! The hospitals OvERCHARGE the payers including the insurance companies to recoup!

Landscapers and brick layers need health care also.

"Some people" you worked with told you...........yeah right

Anyway, if people are going to ERs less due to Obamacare, it's because more people are signing up with PCPs THANKS to Obamacare.

OP fail

Welcome back Lakhota!!

Hope you're doing well.

How much of a pay cut did the CEO of the hospital take? Nothing, right? He probably got a bonus.

It's an election year.

If Obamacare was such a great idea and raging success, the Dems would be running on it. Commercials touting the wonders of Obamacare would blare night and day on TV and radio. Dem candidates would be begging Obama to show up at their rallies.

Instead? Crickets.
