There's little doubt that the truckers' protest was hijacked and upstaged by violent people who were intent of overthrowing democracy. When that is considered to be an attempt by fascists against Canada then the comment makes a great deal of sense.

The whole protest now needs to wear the label of it being an insurrectionist attempt against government.
The emergency measures act was invoked just in time. The Conservatives will wear egg on their faces for opposing it!
