In essence, this is Canada trying to snuggle up back to America after subverting them since the 1990s. Not only is Canadas human rights and civil liberties laughable, thus harming our and in some respect, Americas reputation globally, we have been siphoning free jobs and investment from America while contributing little ourselves.

Canada is upset with China that they are taking our best talent and winning on the issue of innovation while showing little respect for Canada, our laws and our clearly declining influence. What many consider "disruptive", is China exploiting the fact that many Canadians don't have opportunity or freedom here. So would people rather sit and rot in Canada or prosper and pursue their life goals in China?

Do NOT become like Canada. You will lose your best while embracing the unaccountable.

Canada will challenge China “when we ought to” and cooperate “when we must,” Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly said in a speech previewing the Liberal government’s long-awaited Indo-Pacific strategy.

“China is an increasingly disruptive, global power,” which is looking to make the world “more permissive for interests and values that increasingly depart from ours,” Joly said Wednesday in Toronto. The full strategy will be released within a month. At the same time, Canada will look to deepen links with India, which Joly noted is the world’s largest democracy.

“As India becomes the most populous country in the world, its leadership and influence will only continue to grow, both in the region and globally. With it, so will the opportunity for Canada,” she said.
