So, if God forbid, something happens to your brother and he needs medical care he can not afford, the rest of us will be paying his medical costs. If he gets the flu and ends up in ICU for a week or two he will need about $150,000. Since he does not have insurance, he probably will not seek attention as the illness begins to develop. Like most men without insurance, he will be a tough guy and allow the illness to develop to the stage of needing emergency care and ICU.

Heath care was the most important thing to Americans this election cycle. They showed that they want Obamacare to stay and for it to be fixed instead of destroyed.

The Republicans did not set a very good example. When Obamacare was going through Congress, Obama reached out to Republicans but only Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe were willing to talk. Great pressure from Republicans led them to quite talking. In 2016, Republicans made it clear they wanted only Republican votes. Angus King and Joe Manchin who were former Governors tried to talk compromise on healthcare but REPUBLICANS refused.

The bill that McCain gave the thumbs down to, was extremely unpopular with a huge majority of Americans. If the Senate bill had passed, the midterm election might of been even a bigger bloodbath that might have spread to the Senate races.
