It's a BS argument.

Anyone who claims to be peaceful shouldn't want to bring a weapon to something they may have to use against cops.
There's nothing peaceful about packing heat and planning on using it against authorities.
That is overt aggression.
It's essentially saying "arrest me for being stupid".

Anyone who likes carrying a gun in public is showing that they don't trust criminals.
It's not the same as a protester bringing a weapon to a "peaceful protest".
