Nope. Gaetz resigned from Congress just moments before the Ethic Committee was about to show the world he is a drug-addicted, sex trafficking pedophile.

Trump tried to provide this bird of a feather with a safety net, and then discovered there were several Republican Senators prepared to move against him.

If it came down to a vote, Trump would have been embarrassed and made to look weak. So, to save his own face, Trump directed Gaetz to go home.
