Why don't these people protest for our veteran's or the working elderly that may need care. We have people that have worked their entire lives that have medical bills they cant pay. We have children of sub par parents that need supervision. We have crumbling infrastructure that should have attention called too. Yet these people feel the most important thing is this issue? It's a dead issue, imo. There is nothing left to protest that being in the streets will solve. The Dems are shitting their own bed, calling for the abolishment of ICE. I saw one twelve year old behind a microphone crying that she's afraid her illegal mother will be deported, and the crowd was worked up as if the child had a valid point.

I get what the President is trying to do. We knew there would be a whole lot of kicking and screaming if he tried to crack down on illegal immigrants, present and past. Yet allowing them citizenship led to the problem becoming worse over the years, didn't it? Of course. The folks south of us aren't stupid. If they know their chances are good of sneaking in here, making a decent living and having children that are automatically US citizens, why in hell wouldn't they give it a shot?

The President just screwed it up by not taking into account the necessary planning. If he had done it right, I wouldn't be opposed to a crackdown. I do think he needs to start focusing on employers, and I do think he needs to stop with the mud slinging at Hispanics generally, but as far as the attempt itself, I'm not opposed.

I have a cousin who served a four year sentence once for his wrong doing. I wasn't able to be in there with him. When a person goes to jail for whatever, them being separated from their family is how it has to be.
