The Obama administration is scrambling to assess the impact of a massive data breach involving the agency that handles security clearances and employee records, U.S. officials said Thursday.

A congressional aide familiar with the situation, who declined to be named because he was not authorized to discuss it, said the Office of Personnel Management and the Interior Department were hacked. A second U.S. official who also declined to be identified said the data breach could potentially affect every federal agency.

Hate to be a federal worker right now........

And the Obama regime lied about it every step of the way exposing millions to the risk of ID theft.

Has this loser of a POTUS ever done anything right?

Reading up on opm, I found it interesting that last year the task of investigations for security clearances was removed from the dod, for opm to perform.

Not surprised. China has had hackers for years and our Govt has known for years that they were trying to hack our systems.

One would think they would have loads of effective security on those systems. We have hackers and experts who could come up with one.

Day late and a dollar short again. Figures.

I read OPM's entire progress and financial reports yesterday and in close to 200 pages, only twice was security mentioned, and both times as an afterthought. Both times at the end of a section as a short sentence. Why does this not surprise me? And to be honest, their goals, well, read them yourself and come to your own conclusions.
