Nov. 7 (UPI) -- Massachusetts State Police won't help federal agencies deport migrants if President-elect Donald Trump moves forward with mass deportations, Gov. Maura Healey says.

"No, absolutely not," Healey, a Democrat, told MSNBC host Lawrence O'Donnell on Wednesday when he asked if Massachusetts would assist with deportations if the Trump administration sought help.

"I do think it's important that we all recognize that there's going to be a lot of pressure on states and state officials," Healey said.

Good luck with that. Most state police here hate her.

Who cares.

But if they get in the way of federal agents, they go to jail.

First of all I dont expect sweeps to find and deport illegal aliens

We dont have the personnel to do that even if we wanted to

But there are plenty of apprehensions through the daily activities of the police

Do sanctuary libs want to release criminals back onto the street rather than deport them?

Trump will have upper hand. They will come around.

Then send them all to Massachusetts until they're ready to cooperate. There's plenty of room at Harvard to make a big tent city.
That's MAGA logic. If you have the illegals to send em somewhere you wouldn't send em to Massachusetts, would you now? You send em straight back to where they came from.

I think they should do about six months of hard labor building bridges and infrastructure first.

Then send them back.

Next trip it will be a year.

I don't think there is a tangible plan for "mass deportations," only a concept.

In practice, it will mainly take the form of "self-deportation," due to intolerable conditions here. No employment, no government benefits. Watcha gonna due?

Though it would be nice to have their help ice certainly doesn't need it. It will take longer but it will get done. Hopefully they're not thinking about impeding it. Hopefully they're just talking about staying out of the way and not helping.
