The Christmas display, which replaces Jesus, Mary and Joseph with a sign saying “ICE Was Here,” has drawn criticism from Catholic leaders and immigration officials.

Leaders of a Catholic church near Boston kept a Nativity display with an anti-ICE message in place on Monday, defying an order from the Catholic Archdiocese of Boston to remove it.

The display, outside St. Susanna Parish in Dedham, Mass., includes the traditional shepherds, sheep and wise men gathered around a hay-filled manger. But Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus are missing, replaced by a sign reading “ICE WAS HERE” in bold blue letters.

ICE began a major immigration enforcement campaign in the Boston area in September, the forefront of a wave of similar efforts in other major cities.

Indeed yes, they would be undocumented people who were the Middle East and would have been dark skinned AND NOT speak or understand English. They would very much have have deported.

Boston has really went to shit since Wu was elected mayor. She hates cops of all kinds.

Homicides are up 36% in Boston and it used to be one of the more "safe" blue cities or at least on par with red run cities.

Thesl-called "Christians" sure have an opinion about the Atheists on U.S.B. and they share that opinion whenever they want to. They sure as hell when it is pointed out to them how UNCHRISTIAN some of their words and actions truly are.

So much for "seperation of church and state".

0311 advocating for the union of church and state.

No thanks!

Not surprised the church is outraged by this lawless act by dembot brownshirts that want to continue to exploit illegals

St. Susanna is a rogue bunch. Disobedience to the Bishop is the clearest sign. They do NOT represent the Catholic Church. The Marxist media loves to latch on to these heretics and present them as "Catholics" in order to undermine the entire Church.

Remember one thing: The Marxist left considers the Catholic Church the biggest impediment to its goals. That's why their intent is to sow division within its ranks and with other conservatives, and ultimately to discredit the Church. Always read articles with that fact in mind.

The left is all about that unconstitutional code passed by LBJ. . .

. . . . if this ain't a case to enforce that, I don't know what is.

What baffles me, is why atheists like the OP even give a shit about this.

You see it as political. I see it as following the teachings of the Bible.

When an alien resides with you in your land, you shall not oppress the alien. The alien who resides with you shall be to you as the citizens among you; you shall love the alien as yourself..........

Leviticus 33.

It is a church making a political statement about political policy, advocating for a government policy.

Your support of this, completely violates the standard lib model of seperation of church and state.

What about when foreigners are ushered in for political reasons, rather than their own need?
Leftwingers always lie about what is truly going on.

I have no problem with that.

The problem is when government tries to control minds & souls.

It's also Christian policy. One does not have to stop because politicians get involved.

LOL, state does not trump church. This has been biblical long before ICE ever came along.

You would be arguing to stop a church from hiding a run away slave in the 19th century.
