Security experts warn that the commander in chief’s frequent visits — four since he took office in January — afford an unprecedented opportunity for eavesdropping and building dossiers on the president’s routines and habits, as well as those of the inner circle around him. They add that with each repeat visit, the security risk escalates.

“The president is the biggest, richest intelligence target in the world, and there is almost no limit to the energy and money an adversary will spend to get at him,” said David Kris, a former Obama-era assistant attorney general for national security.

At the White House, visitors must undergo a rigorous background screening before they’re let in the door. Agents scan every visitor’s full name, birth date, Social Security number, city of residence and country of birth.

But at Mar-a-Lago, gaining entry doesn’t require that degree of disclosure. Guests entering the club go through multiple security checkpoints staffed by the Secret Service looking for weapons or other immediate threats. But there’s only one requirement to produce a photo ID, and the club itself does not ask guests to provide their names or other information when they enter through the main wrought-iron gated door.

Spies don’t even need to physically go to Mar-a-Lago to do their work. Lists of the club's nearly 500 exclusive dues-paying members have leaked in recent weeks to the news media, giving foreign intelligence the names of potential targets for surveillance, blackmail or bribes that can help them get closer to the president.

Trump’s Mar-a-Lago is heaven — for spies

Trump gained office thanks to foreign espionage... I guess it's appropriate that his foolishness leaves the door wide open for even more foreign espionage...

I believe haven would have been the proper word.
You may be right. It's very possible that Mar-a-Lago is a haven for foreign spies, since the article reports how it's potentially heaven for spying.
Potentially a heaven for spying or a haven for spying.... The liberal media not only gets their facts wrong these days - they get their wording wrong too. If the author can't even find the correct words, I have to question whether or not he is finding the correct sources for his story. Know what I mean?

Great conspiracy theory, I think you posted it in the wrong forum.

Very True and it is the constitution

Very true--and it's actually against the Constitution.

Article I, Section 9 of the Constitution provides as follows: “No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.” Generally referred to as the Emoluments Clause, this provision cannot be understood apart from the historical experiences and political principles that led the Framers to support it.
The Emoluments Clause: Its text, meaning, and application to Donald J. Trump | Brookings Institution

The Trump empire has expanded into many foreign countries. Turning them over into his kids names does NOT release him from the above responsibility. As he will still protect those assets no matter what, meaning that Foreign countries could easily hold him hostage. That is a real National Security threat.

Which was why it is so important that candidates turn over their tax returns to prove that they have no conflicts of interest.

But they let Trump get away with every thing.

To add insult to injury--the Taxpayers pay 700K for each of his trips down to his resort Mar a Lago, and Mar a Lago doubled their membership fees to 200K a year.
In a month, the Trump family has cost taxpayers almost as much as the Obamas did in a year
Trump's Mar-a-Lago club just doubled its new membership fee to $200,000

Are you sure the writer didn't mean "haven?" I believe something got lost in translation.

I did. It makes no sense and why is he quoting an "Obama-era" asst. AG for national security. Our security turned into swiss cheese under Obama because the people they were appointing were not qualified for the jobs. Take David Kris for an example. He was a law clerk to Judge Trott 9th Circuit and gets appointed during Obama presidency to become an asst. AG and by 2011 he was out. So much for competence, right? But he is the big source for this story? Is this a joke? I'm not laughing.......

Goodnight.

Are you kidding? Most of the so-called "Journalism Articles" these days are about 3 paragraphs surrounded by tons of clickbait and contain an average of 5 grammatical errors apiece.

What a joke it is. Too cheap to hire proofreaders, or better yet, proofrread your own?

Enquiring minds would like to know.

"Trump gained office thanks to foreign espionage." When did the DNC, a political group, turn over their hacked servers to the FBI that warned them and offered to help? Who hired a group that downloaded info from the dem leadership?
