This is a legal technicality that does not immediately overturn birthright citizenship for anchor babies

But it is a chink in the armor of We Are The World, open borders globalists

Birthright citizenship was intended for the the children of American citizens.
It was never intended for illegal immigrants.

And in one instance the children of legal resident aliens, in the SCOTUS decision in Wong Kim Ark.

But never has SCOTUS ruled that the children of illegals are citizens. Nor should they, as that would be a perversion of the citizenship clause in the 14th Amendment.

Whatever. Far more important is the basic principle that no one can get a legal right through illegal means. Without that foundation, our laws have no standing.

Also illogical is Marbury vs. Madison, the unconnected redundancy of the Court interpreting the Constitution as giving it the right to interpret the Constitution.
