Ok. Now stand before the jury and say it was premeditated when the offender was drunk. That isn’t in the Gateway Pundit story. But it is in others. Now you have diminished capacity entered into the mix. Premeditation is doubtful with a jury. So first degree is out.

With the guy seeing political enemies everywhere and chasing him? Ok. Now you get to bring sanity into question. A few shrinks come out to testify that the guy suffers from paranoid delusions and now any murder charge is questionable. Second and third degree is at best up in the air and a not guilty by reason of insanity is a real possibility.

Now the best the prosecution can hope to get is manslaughter. Which they just got with a plea bargain. Worst case the guy spends a couple years in a rubber room is out on medications and declared sane and cured and returned to society.

African Americans are not the only ones that have suffered over authoritarian cop pricks. There are many though who have skirted justice over the years. So, stop spewing the Ivory Soap 99 and 44/100 % pure agenda. There are many good law enforcement people. The ones not so good that are experienced people should not forget. And if they are joined at the hip by the local judicial branch then corruption is there to see.
