Anyone making under $47,000 in Tennessee pays more tax than they would with an income tax model and those making over $150,000 pay about half what they would.

That would be great if those liberal States didn't hit their citizens with sales taxes, excise taxes, property taxes and sin taxes along with the State income tax!

9 states collect zero income taxes proving it is feasible and also balance their budgets annually. Typically the public gets a reasonable cost government.

44 states have balanced budget requirements and keep very close to - see graph of 15 year history.

I linked data showing 6 of those 9 states you referenced get more money from the federal government than they pay in, substantially. All of them balance their budgets with money they dont pay for. And if you think they collect zero taxes you’re an idiot. They get taxes from their citizens in ways that are regressive.

I don’t doubt that. I doubt and question the volume of wealth created by politicians when they entered politics and while in office and their primary source of income was a taxpayer-funded salary. Right now, Sanders and AOC’s millions accumulated while in office ought to be investigated. Next thing you know, we’ll have elected officials flipping $10,000 futures contracts into $100,000 gains overnight with little or no risk tolerance or experience in the futures market.

Separate the nation into a couple of smaller ones or even a few or more. Any issue between red or Prog would have signs on the highways as exits warning citizens they are entering an area and/or off ramp. Local governance will be the will of the people and not the federales. And if they want to riot in cities, go ahead. Also, people will not leave those areas and make the new areas the same they left.
