This is interesting. I would agree that targeting illegal immigrants who have committed crimes should be the top priority.

As for the racists whose primary issue is simply that illegal immigrants are "foreign" or have "dark skin". Well, it appears they are in the minority demographic.

The latest Fox News survey, released Monday, finds 3 in 10 back deporting all illegal immigrants, while 6 in 10 supports only deporting those charged with crimes but would allow others to stay and apply for citizenship. One in 10 favors letting all illegal immigrants remain in the U.S.

Not buying it in the least.

Reward lawbreakers who broke into our country illegally? A dumb idea.

And yet they are the ones setting immigration policy.

If they came here illegally, they should be deported, fined, and put at the back of the line.
If I were in charge, there would be no line that they could be at the back of.

If someone broke the law to come here illegally, he has demonstrated with his behavior that he was willing to break laws. This makes him a literal criminal. Why would I want to allow a criminal to come into my country? He is lucky that I am not using diplomatic means to ask his home country to jail him for me.

If they truly wanted this, wouldn't Harris have won?

It's your country and 20M illegals is absurd. There should be a path for say the top 4-5%, I don't know. Those who joined the military even though they weren't Americans, those who opened up businesses and contributed to America etc.

It's far more difficult now that Biden apparently allowed in 10M more. It's presented far more pressure on your housing costs and other social programs. If that had not happened, Trump would have had more flexibility.

No. No. No.

Why? Think about what kind of message this would send. Come into the country illegally, but somehow do good. Then you will get citizenship. Nope. Your idea should be rejected on the grounds of principle. People should not be rewarded for their criminal behavior, doesn't matter that they somehow managed to contribute to the host country.

Besides, you say that they "contributed" to America. It's not so much that they wanted to contribute to America, it's more like, they wanted to make money, and since opening up businesses, working...etc are easier ways to achieve that, so that's what they did. They mainly wanted to benefit themselves, and in the process, they accidentally contributed to the country.

In an ideal world, sure, but we allowed this problem to fester for too long and there are too many of them. I would prefer the Bush solution 20 years ago of allowing those who have been here for a certain amount of time and have committed no additional crime to be able to come forward, legally obtain a green card, and get right with our immigration laws.

Nope. A thousand times no, for the reasons I already stated above.

Think about the message this would send. Besides, think about the principle. You should never, ever, reward a criminal, which is what an illegal is, with citizenship. Does not matter what he did.

It doesn't send a message if you follow up with aggressive border enforcement and deportations for future law breakers, like we're seeing right now. What I suggested is sensible from a logistics standpoint.

I love immigrants, they respect our laws, our country, and I am all for immigrants to come to our country and contribute to society.

What I dislike is people that come to our country illegally, they don’t respect our laws, our values or way of life. It also allows them to be exploited by employers.

As far as you bringing racism into the discussion and try to demean anyone who objects to your idea, that is pretty childish and dishonest.

Can people disagree with you? What if some people do not want immigrants, or, they only want certain kinds of immigrants? Do they have to brace themselves for a lecture from you?

I don’t give a shit what you do.

It's all an emotional outburst, thanks to the MSM constantly airing the sob stories about families being torn apart.
This is a poll, not a policy, so regardless of how Americans are "feeling" right now about this issue, immigration enforcement will continue.

No, the reality is that racists simply care about the fact that the illegal immigrants have darker skin than themselves.

That's why you never heard them complaining about Canadian illegal immigrants.

That's what Jews do best (the MSM is Jewish-controlled). They constantly manipulate white people's emotions for nefarious purposes. In this case, they want to let in more illegals to flood the country with.
