Maine sues over USDA pause on funds due to support for transgender athletes

'The state of Maine on Monday filed a lawsuit challenging the U.S. Department of Agriculture's decision to freeze federal funding for education programs in the state over its refusal to ban transgender women from sports.

The lawsuit came days after USDA announced the freeze, one of several actions President Donald Trump's administration had taken against the state since Democratic Maine Governor Janet Mills clashed with the Republican over the issue of transgender athletes during a White House event in February.

During the February 21 meeting with governors, Trump threatened to withhold funds from Maine if it did not comply with an executive order he signed banning transgender athletes from playing girls' and womens' sports. Mills responded: "We're going to follow the law, sir. We'll see you in court." USDA did not respond to a request for comment on Monday.'

Your Thread title is misleading. The education funds are not for trans athletes, but simply education funds. If the funds really were for trans atheletes playing on the team of the sex of their choice, i would have no problem with it.
In this case though, when the state of Maine, decided not to go along with the President's National Policy, even though it is also his policy that how education is handled should be a state state thing, not a national thing, they got their national funds cut for not adhering to his national policy. In fact, due to their refusing to go along with his national Tranny policy, he cut off all Social Security contractors providing assistance in that state. I never realized there were any Senior Citizen tranny athelete guys on girl teams in that state. Donny is just being a vindictive son of a bitch, as usual.

Tranny's in girls sports is not going to continue... these blue states need a big slap down... if these so called cross gender folks want to play a sport either play in a men's league or start a tranny league...
