Everyone seems to view politics and current events through the optics of Donald Trump. They often don't consider the real driving forces behind geopolitics, which then drives national politics. Trump is not changing the world, China is. Trump is reacting to the threats of China and elsewhere. While I don't think he is trying to preserve American dominance over the rest of the world, I think he is fighting to make sure that the world becomes at least multi-polar instead of China displacing the US as the sole world hegemon. America can't police the world by itself anymore, it is essentially bankrupt. It needs to invest in itself now to have an important role in the new multi-polar world. Europe must do the same. The old world order is dead, and what they do now determines the new world order, and the relative power of China.

I think Trump realizes he can't just control everything and must deal effectively with the other powerful entities that operate in the same sphere. Not all the GOP is aligned with Trump, the entire democrap party is working against him, a lot of countries are under the control of globalists and are tough to deal with, and then there's China to deal with. Trump has to pick his battles wisely and be politically astute if he wants to get things done that make America stronger for the future. In short, often he has to compromise. That is real politics. He may not have solved all the world's problems in his first 100 days, but he is the first POTUS in a long time to actually make some progress.

When was ancient Greece part of the Abrahamic religion, Rome was not Christian until it's decline and fall .
One election defeat doesn't mean decimation or a decline in power, you are fooling yerself thinking that Trump is a savior.

GW Bush was a complete disaster and Obama was heralded as the person to bring about Change. Well he did, and ushered in the new democrap party hellbent on turning the American government into what is going on in China. It's now a very big problem and you can't fix problems with the same thinking that created the problems. Trump is not your typical establishment serving politician like Bush or the new democraps. He's not perfect by a country mile, but he is the only one willing to stand up to the political establishment.
