Actually US GDP has been IN DECLINE since Q2-2018. So It only took Trump 2 years to send the US economy sliding towards the ditch. Now we have crashed in the ditch, the car is on fire, the police slapped on the cuffs & snuffed the life plum out.

Love it when people argue over Qtr to Qtr GDP numbers.. It's MEANINGLESS to the average American. Here's the REAL adjusted per capita GDP over that same period...

The Quarterlies are for financial wonks trying to devine SHORT TERM trends in the economy., If a quarterly was 1% lower the PREVIOUS quarter -- it takes a 2% quarter to put that curve above back on the SAME PATH... GDP adjusted per capita isn't FELT in the wallet of Americans... And it's virtually FREE of political mechanization

What MATTERS to wallets is Household Income, Interest rates, and Worker participation in the economy.. Go pull some graphs for those...

The second quarter isn't finished yet. The end of the month will be the end of the second quarter. So when the numbers come in, in July, we will officially be in recession.

There is no doubt that there will be negative growth for the second quarter and no doubt we are in recession.

The question now, will we go deeper and end up in a depression or will we be able to avoid a depression?

Only time will tell.
