He is a Kurd, speaks both Kurdish and Arabic. But he said his mother tongue is Kurdish, so I think he is a Kurd.

I think he looks quite "White" for MENA region (many are, he is not atypical but still, half of them look white and half more like stereotypical menas) and could pass as Greek or Albanian?
