Supposedly these were put together around the Korean war period by unit armorers but given there are no permanent changes that need to be made to the carbine I guess it could have been a put together affair.

The M84 2.5X scope/mount is on a 12-44 Inland M1-Carbine.

Toy Air gun Plastic Shotgun Gun barrel

The scope is in nice shape and still clear.

The carbine itself is seems to be all Inland IO stocked with the exception of the HG which is unmarked. It has a AA (Augusta Arsenal, GA) refurb stamp.

Never heard of that. I was thinking it might be one of those early infrared ones. Rifle is legit but that scope rig, I don't know.

I'm reading 2 1/2 million were made, but there were some exceptions that could make this all your back pocket Relluc.... ~S~

It's the same mount (T-3) as used with the the M3 night scope. It basically uses Lyman Alaskan rings so it was a simple matter to mill the bar to fit it.

There was a very early attempt to use a weaver scope (like what was on the M1903-A4) in a Winchester mount but it failed as ejected casings would hit the scope. The T-3 mount offsets the M84 slightly to the left.
