I bought the album Transformer when I was in NYC in the early 1970’s.
I was listening to ‘rock n roll animal’ just the other day and recalled how Reed and his ilk promoted so much self-destructive behavior just to be different. Supposedly genius.
I do enjoy Mott the Hoople’s version of Reed’s Sweet Jane. Mick Ralph’s guitar solo is maybe my favorite all time rock guitar solo.
