Sounds like some serious lawsuits need to happen, against the city, against the police department, and against the individual officers and officials involved. Some of them need to go to jail.

It is flat-out illegal for law enforcement officers to arrest or otherwise harass people for legitimately exercising their Constitutional right to peaceably assemble.

It is certainly illegal to arrest people who are not reasonably suspected of having broken any actual laws; and these bullshit “stay at home orders” have not been enacted into law by either of the legitimate processes by which laws are made in this state.

At this point, I have to say that the Fourth Nuremberg Principle absolutely applies.

These officers knew damn well that what they were doing is illegal, and they did it anyway. They need to be criminally prosecuted, and they need to go to prison.
