I remember during Trump's first term when it took near a year and the threat of terminations from agency heads for .gov agencies to remove Obama and Biden's pics from the lobby of .gov agencies and put Trump and Pence's up.

When the .gov shutdown happened under Obama (October 1, 2013 to October 17, 2013), the USFS actually sent out someone to put up a closure sign at a remote hiking trail/campsite.

I was out squirrel hunting there during that closure as it bordered our land, it was way, way, out in the middle of nowhere in Ft. Valley, Virginia where there was a USFS-managed trail/remote campground at the end of a two mile long gravel state side road.

From their HQ it would taken over an hour to just get out there. The campground was way up the trail, and was just a dirt clearing next to a small stream. No USFS presence at all that I had ever seen.

Yet someone from the USFS drove all the way out there and put up a folding plastic sign blocking the entrance to the trail, stating that the trail/campground was closed due to the gov shutdown.

From what I understand it lasted about a day before someone toted them away.

Talk about beyond petty. Thanks for driving way, way, out of your way to a very remote trail/campground that nobody was even using, to make the point that it was "closed".

That's how vindictive the vile dems were.

In my AO most everything is still open and in the case of the Skyline Drive it's free to drive along it now.....No Rangers at the entrance!
