Well, most everyone has a talent for something. What I meant was that Rob will never be a Hollywood legend.
Reiner was pretty good on All In The Family--- a while back I watched the 2-part episode which fleshed in how Archie met him when he was dating Gloria and they got married. It was actually well-written and very well sewed together their past before the series with the present. Turns out that Rob Reiner wrote the two episodes.
I'm just disappointed that the guy has to turn out to be yet another Hollywood Dippy Doozle who thinks that conservatism and patriotism equates to fascism.

What I find most interesting is that often, many of the things that Meathead protested against in the TV series as being wrong with the world are now some of the very things his own democrat party stands for and is doing today. I wonder if he realizes that?

Let's examine that for a minute.
How the hell did we get where we are?
The answer is the infiltration of the academic system specifically as a state-sponsored program of the former Soviet Union.

It was well conceived, well funded and beautifully executed.

I believe it continued well after the demise of the USSR. The goal was to replace the Western values of individuality and entrepreneurialism with the prime directives of communist socialism.

Now that all sounds rather macabre until you realize that socialism had and still has its bevvy of true believers who sincerely think that it's a good thing. They actually believe the elevated purpose justifies the proselytization effort albeit clandestine and at times purposely deceitful...... In the case of the USSR it was basically espionage dressed up as philosophical benevolence..... And and our academic system at the time was particularly susceptible to this form infiltration. ( Think Cloward<>Piven)

Stalin for all of his blunt and bloodthirsty crudeness was also a very shrewd strategist. From the time it was conceived probably 100 years ago it has had spectacular success here in the United States and basically represents the political identity of roughly half the population now.
