This is beyond Red-Blue. Our disaster relief is a disgrace, we saw it during Katrina and now again with Helene. The problem is there is no accountability for failure and letting Americans die of injuries, dehydration etc. AFTER the storm has passed is inexcusable.
Yes, and no. It is a disgrace. But it doesn't go beyond politics. When it first happened legions of Lefties swarmed the internet to laugh, and get their digs in thinking a bunch of MAGAs and Conservatives caught the wrath of God. They were extatic. Until it was finally pointed out that the Liberal Haight-Ashbury of the east is what got wiped off the map. Then came the calls for Unity. Fuck them.
That was a once in one hundred years weather event and it was forecast. The Governor's warning was incredibly weak and did not even SUGGEST evacuating. If you're interested it's easy to find, like I found it.
