I actually believe that these questions to the candidates from reporters and the 1st debate, are themselves specifically designed for early elimination. Rand Paul, Scott Walker have taken a nose dive--people realize they're not electable because of their NO exception stances.

I don't know how old you are--but I don't remember Ronald Reagan ever once bringing up abortion, much less campaigning on it.

You know there are pro-choice Democrats, as there are pro-life Democrats, there are pro-choice Republicans as there are pro-life Republicans. Same thing with Independents. It's not a party line issue. It is definitely a U.S. Supreme court issue, and one that hasn't changed for 43 years now, regardless of the Republican administrations, and even a full house.

I think the media, especially FOX News is asking these questions of the candidates to specifically eliminate them in the early rounds, before they get much traction. They understand what happened in 2012.

I don't know how old you are, but I don't remember even once where Ronald Reagan talked about abortion, or much less campaigned on it.

There are pro-life Democrats, as there are pro-choice Democrats, as there are pro-choice Republicans as there are pro-life Republicans. Same thing with Independents. I think Ronald Reagan understood that, so he didn't get into social issues.

We have had several Republican administrations over the last 43 years since Roe v Wade and nothing has changed on abortion. It's definitely a U.S. Supreme Court issue.

They don't consider the circumstance of a mother who has 2 kids at home, is diagnosed for some illness or disease-that is told by her doctor that if she has another baby she will die. They don't consider what the husband might say to the Republican party in this instance. They don't consider the 10 year old girl that has been raped repeatedly by her uncle, who doesn't have the body to sustain the labor of child birth. They don't consider the rape victim, who's husband and or family members do not want her to carry a rape baby to full term.
