Pretty rare we pay the initial intro stream rent, but we wanted to see this movie.
Not so much because Stephen King wrote it - but because he joined with Michael Flannagan to produce it.
The movie was very Stephen King, not so much Flannagan. A story about a man who dies at 39 years old from a brain tumor. But told in a Stephen King way, like a dream rather than a story.
It is described as "thought provoking" and "emotional" - it is. There are some really cool parts, and it does make you think more than once about your own life, and choices... regrets.
The critics are calling it a masterpiece, well.... I don't know about that, but it is good. It is 1:52 minutes long but it feels more like one hour. It goes by quick, it draws you in.
No nudity, no sex, no killer action - and thankfully only one tiny political sentence - no wokeness.
Try it.

Seems good, I'd not pay to see it but I'd watch it if it came along by and by.
I would say it is definitely worth waiting for the "reduced-non intro" rent, usually $5.
We paid $10 because we wanted to see it. Waiting a month or 2 when it drops to $5 - not a bad choice.
Waiting 1-2 years before it is free somewhere - maybe not. And it may not happen at all.

2Flix has it for free.

So does YesMovies

And Hydra has it for free too.

And it's also free at ZplexMovies

I would advise no one to use these platforms.
Many operate outside of licensing - known to be packed full of malware and spyware also.
Some of these sites are owned by companies out of India and China.

It is a very good film. It breaks from usual convention in form and subject, so may not be accessible or satisfying for those too used to the formulaic. The centrality of consciousness to the very meaning of existence may leave viewers wondering.

I was reminded of things in my life that meant something - it has an ethereal presence more than once - when the black man runs into the "skater girl", the discussion between the boy and his grandfather etc.
This will sound awful, but true nonetheless - people with an IQ under 100 will hate it. They won't get a single thing this movie is about and will be confused throughout.
For the rest of us - we will "get it". Personally, I think it could have been better, thus why I don't think it is a masterpiece. And I just don't think Tim Hiddleston was the right actor to play adult chuck. I like his other work, but he just didn't jive with the other actors who were very well picked. Even Mark Hamill, who most would agree is a very "C" grade actor, did very well.
