When first authorized in the early 1980's it was estimated that the Space Station Freedom would cost 8.5 billion dollars. They spent years just getting paperwork and designs and spent that much money doing that. We were also now entrenched in the then DEI and insidious interference from D.C. with NASA. So, enter detente and the fall of the Soviet Union. We then went into an American Space Station to an International Space Station. Plus, we were forced to use the Shuttle cargo bay to carry most of our modules and hardware to build it. The orbital inclination was originally 23 degrees and then pushed to 55 degrees or so to satisfy Russia. So, the shuttle carried less weight to get there. So today we send about 4 billion dollars a year to keep it going. And we mote likely pay it all as the other nations get a free ride. This hopefully will be the last total controlled station-built by NASA strictly along with the Space Launch System as we move on.

You're against Trump because he won't fully release the Epstein files, he's too cozy with billionaires, he doesn't care about affordability, he's weaponized the justice system to persecute his political rivals, he hates the environment, he's run up the national debt, he says ugly things about women and minorities, and on and on and on....

If you folks (and your candidates) don't start rallying around one central theme, and pound that message home, you'll have that old elephant flying over the Whitehouse for a long time to come. Bill Clinton's message was "it's the economy stupid!" - and despite his womanizing ways, left office with a federal surplus, and more popular than 90% of all Presidents.
