Let's talk about the kinds of abuses we may see from a trump run DoJ

We know trump's unavoidable prosecution for the crimes he committed has been labeled weaponization by a convicted felon. I imagine most felons wish they had a bullhorn as loud as trump's as well as the ability to convince people they are victims..........not the criminals they are.
It's going to be a long four years for you.

Cohen (the guy who was sentenced to 6 years for facilitating the crime that Trump just got off for with a slap on the wrist) was physically returned to prison based on his refusal to sign a counterfeit document presented to him at Billy the Bagman's direction which waived his 1st A rights to free speech.

That's what the weaponization of the DoJ looks like. This time around trump can reasonably feel unconstrained by law since his SC has given him a get out of jail free card. What could possibly go wrong?
What happened to the DOJ being these neutral, unbiased, career public servants? Wasn't that your mantra during the lawfare against Trump?

Conditional early releases are often . . . conditional.

While on parole, one gives up many rights that are enjoyed by persons not convicted of the laundry list of crimes that Cohen was so obviously guiltly of.

They passed laws after all the Watergate crooks became millionaires by writing books in prison and after to prevent such inappropriate enrichment. Seems the DOJ was just enforcing that long-standing principle.

ACLU Files First Amendment Challenge Against Michael Cohen’s Retaliatory Imprisonment

NEW YORK — The American Civil Liberties Union and law firm Perry Guha LLP today filed a habeas petition on behalf of Michael Cohen seeking his immediate release to home confinement. The petition argues that the federal government’s incarceration of Michael Cohen in retaliation for his plans to publish a book critical of the president prior to the November election violates the First Amendment.

“This case is about a brazen assault on the First Amendment and the rule of law. We trust that our Constitution will prevail and that free speech will continue to be protected, for our client and for all others by extension,” said Danya Perry, founding partner of Perry Guha.

In May 2020, the U.S. Bureau of Prisons released Cohen from prison and placed him on furlough due to underlying health conditions that placed him at higher risk of severe illness or even death from COVID-19. He was then supposed to transition to home confinement for the remainder of his sentence. On July 2, 2020, while on furlough, Cohen tweeted that he was putting finishing touches on what would be a tell-all book about his decade-long experience with Donald Trump.

All that need be known is how Corrupted and Unamerican
the ACLU had become.Because ? How about The Biggest
benefactor to the once vaunted ACLU was George Soros.
Going back like almost 10 years.
The ACLU had a standing policy to never comment or
approve or disapprove or support SCOTUS Nominations.
The ACLU broke with that pledge and did not back
Brett Kavanaugh.
